Help Wanted!
The APGFCU Arena at Harford Community College in Bel Air, MD is looking for part time as needed Arena Overhire Technicians. Our techs assist with the setup, operation, and tear down of college and community events, concerts, tradeshows and sporting events.
If you're coming from the Baltimore area, we're only 35 minutes north of Towson University. If you're coming from southern Pennsylvania, we're less than an hour from Millersville University or York College.
Some of the skills we’re looking for:
A basic understanding in the areas of live sound and lighting.
A basic understanding of electrical systems for events.
Experience in rigging.
Able to read, understand, and execute event diagrams.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment.
1-Year experience in an event setting, working in audio, video, lighting and/or rigging.
Applicants with one year experience will be considered and training can be provided. Extremely flexible scheduling. All applicants must attend a training and orientation session, on site, of approximately 3 hours upon hiring (paid).

Starting salary range: $21.78 - $34.85 based on experience and qualifications.
EVENT TECHNICIAN:
Great for entry level applicants who have worked in high school, college and community productions!
Some of the skills we’re looking for:
Entry level understanding in the areas of live sound and lighting.
Entry level understanding of electrical systems for events.
Experience in carpentry.
Able to read, understand, and execute event diagrams.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment.
• Work in Chesapeake Theater, Conference Center, and other HCC campus building.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and tear down of in-house theater shows, expos, touring productions campus meetings, and public rentals.
Starting salary range: $16.54 - $26.48 based on experience and qualifications.
