Indian Culture of Maryland is a community-focused organization dedicated to bringing people together through Indian culture, food, traditions, music, dance, and festivals.

Join us for an exciting evening of Garba and Dandiya, celebrating the joy of Indian culture and bringing families, friends, and the community together.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join Indian Culture of Maryland for Garba Night on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 7:00
PM at APGFCU Arena at Harford Community College.

Enjoy an evening filled with traditional Garba and Dandiya dancing, music, cultural traditions, food, and community fun. Whether you are an experienced dancer or trying Garba for the first time, everyone is welcome!
Come dressed in your favorite traditional attire and celebrate with family and friends. Let’s come together and make this a memorable night for our community!

Garba Night is a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of dancing, music, food, and community connection. Bring your family and friends, meet others in the community, and experience the joy of Garba and Dandiya.

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Garba
Start the evening with traditional Garba dancing and music. All skill levels are welcome!
8:30 PM – 8:45 PM | Arti
Join us for a traditional Arti.
8:45 PM – 9:30 PM | Break & Food
Take a break, enjoy delicious food, and connect with family and friends.
9:30 PM – 11:30 PM | Dandiya & Garba
The celebration continues with Dandiya and Garba dancing. Bring your energy and enjoy the rest of the evening!

Know Before You Go

THE FOLLOWING WILL PROVIDE YOU SOME HELPFUL INFORMATION AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING EVENT AT OUR VENUE.

  • Parking: Parking is free! Simply park in a lined, non-permitted space, and if you park in a handicap space, you must have the appropriate hangtag displayed. Click here for a campus parking map.
  • Patron /Competitor Entrance: Signage will be posted at the front entrance of the venue noting where competitors should enter. All other patrons should use the main entrance. Please see event schedule distributed by your event contact for specific schedule information.
  • Prohibited Items: Please take note of the following items which are NOT permitted in the Arena. A full list of prohibited items can be found here.
    • Strollers will be permitted at this event due to layout.
  • Tobacco & Smoke Free Campus: Please remember that Harford Community College is a SMOKE-FREE/ TOBACCO-FREE campus. This includes the arena, around the arena, and our parking lots.
  • Accessibility: The Arena provides a convenient drop off and pick up area at the main entrance of the Arena for guests. There is an elevator in the Arena if you wish to use it. Please contact the Arena ahead of time (443-412-2189) with any accessibility requests, concerns, or questions.
